I was told that I had smoked in my room and would be charged an extra $250! Was told that I ate cookies that had not been eaten. The worst was when I went to check out of this expensive, 4 star hotel. We asked them to bring towels to the pool, they never did. When we asked for towels one of the days, they were out and told us to come back later to see if they had more. There were many pool staff in bikinis, that offered little service, did not keep the pool area picked up. Our room was not cleaned until 4 pm on our last day, the only day we requested it be cleaned. We were told this would be fixed within 24 hours.

Many of the channels would not would due to a storm a week prior. Tech support verified this and replaced it. The next day the remote would not change channels. The next remote after a short period of time, would not access the main menu. Upon arrival we noticed that the TV remote would not lower the volume. That said, I will be visiting again, as there are other off site food options and plenty of activities in the area. The breakfast was a bit easier and it is the only breakfast option besides a walk-up Starbucks counter. If you have any dietary restrictions, theres not much to order. Guy Fieri's is limited because every dish on the menu is smothered in cheese or a sauce. If you just want a sandwich or a salad there is no option. There is a higher end restaurant, buffet, and Guy Fieri's restaurant. The ONLY downside, I believe they need one more food option. And for those who say the casino doesn't pay, I came home a winner, leaving with more money than I went in with. While others commented on smoke, I being very sensitive to cigarette smoke, did not smell any smoke in our two day stay.

A front desk representative even got our luggage for us when he saw us waiting for a bellman who was tied up with another party! The casino has the latest slot technology and a table area. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and professional. Very clean and modern, beautiful bathroom, comfortable bed. However, after a bit of research explaining that the Lodge was knocked down and the casino built in its place, we booked a last minute getaway, packed and were there an hour and half later. Remembering back to the ill-cared for Mount Airy Lodge, I was a little apprehensive about staying here.
